What The Wisp smells like
Bergamot and watermelon open it, cool and slightly watery, and within a minute or two peach and plum come through underneath. That is the part people react to — a soft rush of ripe fruit that is sweet but not sticky.
Persimmon sits in the middle with jasmine, rose and orchid, and those three flowers are the reason it works. Without them the fruit would tip straight into confectionery. With them it stays somewhere more grown up.
The base is where it becomes unusual: amber, musk, chocolate, coconut and patchouli. Chocolate and coconut in a fruity home fragrance oil sounds like a bad idea until you smell it. Neither reads as dessert. They read as warmth — the reason a hotel lobby smells expensive rather than sugary, which is exactly the register this was built in.
It is the fragrance guests ask about most, and the one nobody guesses correctly.
The notes
Top: bergamot, peach, watermelon
Heart: plum, persimmon, jasmine, rose, orchid

Where to use this fruity home fragrance oil
Living rooms, hallways and dining rooms. Hallways especially — it is a welcome scent, and it does the most work in the first three seconds someone is through the door. In a dining room it holds up against food rather than competing with it, because the base is warm rather than fresh.
It suits medium and large rooms best. In a small bedroom the fruit can feel close, so run it on a lower setting or use fewer drops. Bathrooms are the one place we would not bother — the coconut and chocolate in the base need a bit of distance to read properly, and in a small tiled room they do not get it.
Is The Wisp right for you?
It is the safest recommendation in the range, and the fruity home fragrance oil we hand people who say they do not really like scented homes. If you are buying your first Wisp oil and have no idea where to start, start here — it is the one most people like immediately and the one most likely to get asked about.
Choose something else if you actively dislike sweetness. The fruit is prominent for the first hour and no amount of patchouli disguises that. The Spirit is the alternative inside the same family: lemon and plum over leather and rum, drier, more of an evening scent. If you want warmth without fruit at all, The High swaps in fig, black pepper and sandalwood and is considerably more austere.
How to use it
This is a concentrated oil for cold-air diffusion — not a reed diffuser, not a candle, not a wax burner. Heat ruins the top of this blend in particular; watermelon and bergamot are the first things to go. Two or three drops in The Wisp Mini will scent one room, and the Wisp Fragrance System will carry it through a hallway and everything off it. The 10ml fits the Neom Pod Mini, and a few drops on a Wisp Aroma Stone will do a car or a drawer with no power at all.
