What The Light smells like

The opening is bergamot first, orange second — bergamot being the sharper, slightly bitter citrus you know from Earl Grey, which is what keeps the top half of this fragrance clean instead of juicy. Cut grass sits with them and adds a green, outdoor quality, so the first impression is closer to a window left open than a bowl of fruit.

Then the flowers, which are the reason people keep reordering it. Rose and jasmine come through in the middle, but held back and cooled by sea notes — that airy, slightly saline register that reads as space rather than as scent. Wood and musk close it out quietly. The base never fully announces itself, which is the point: what is left in the room after an hour is a general sense of freshness rather than a fragrance you can name.
