This programme follows through a year on a Lincolnshire smallholding – but with one difference!
Father and son,Mick and Jonathan Puttrill are avid fans of blue Ford and Fordson tractors and have amassed a large collection over the years. But these machines are not idle show pieces, indeed they have to earn their keep on the farm, being used with a fascinating array of period implements.
The tractors range in age from a 1952 Fordson Diesel Major to a 1977 Ford 6600 with several versions of Dexta, Major and 1000 Series in-between, plus a 4600 and 5600.
We also join the farm as contractors carry out spraying and combine harvesting with the tractors used contrasting nicely with the Putterill’s own collection.
